Bernie Major Memorial Sparrow Lake September 9th 2023
What a beautiful day to have this tournament. First thing is i would like to thank everyone that came out to honour Bernie’s memory, including several past West Toronto members it was greatly appreciated. Before blast off we had a toast in Bernie’s memory as well as after weigh in before everyone departed we had a toast again. We were also informed by his son Mike Major that the family had planted a tree and placed a plaque in Bernie’s memory on the island across from the launch at Lauderdale Marina. I want to congratulate the team of Sandor Arany and George Anderson on taking the win with 14.72 lbs. as well as Big Fish with a 4.35 lb. largie. Coming in second was the team of Dave Faiola and Andy Werner with 10.79 lbs. and rounding out third place was the team of Mike and Mark Major with 10.14 lbs. it is coming down to a tight race in the T.O.T.Y standings with only 3 tournament left to go before the season ends. Another tough day on the water had by all. But i would like to congratulate the team of Bob Peters and his grandson Chase for the win with 10.05 lbs. as well as Chase having Big Fish overall with a 4.12 lb.smallie. Coming in second was the team of Mike Major and his brother-in-law Todd with 8.64 lbs. And rounding out third was the team of Dave Faiola and Andy Werner with 8.50 lbs.

A tough day on the lake had by all due to extreme weather conditions. I want to congratulate the team of Sandor Arany and George Anderson for thier 3rd win of the season with 11.97 lbs. as well as Big Fish with a 4.01 largie. Was a tough day fishing as lots of fish were caught, but all were cookie cutters.

These 2 also took the Team of the Year award with a total of 87.60 lbs. weighed in for 6 tournaments, great job. It was a great year had by all and i cannot wait for the start of the 2023 season to see what it brings for all.
