Our Mission Statement

As a member of West Toronto Bass-Masters,

I promise to create among my fellow anglers and the public in general, an awareness of my chapter's and my fellow Bass-Master's contributions to North American angling, conservation and outdoors recreation.

I will encourage and instruct the youth of my community in the art of fishing.

I pledge myself to full adherence to all conservation codes and to detect and report any polluter of our waters and habitat.

Club History

In 1972, the BASS State Federation program was created to enable BASS clubs within a state to communicate and cooperate with other BASS Chapters and Federations. Today we have 53 Federations in the United States, Canada, Italy, Japan, South Africa, Mexico and Zimbabwe.

When affiliated chapters in each state come to gather to form a BASS Federation, they provide the framework to ultimately act and speak as a united voice on local, national and international issues that affect the future of fishing and the preservation of our natural resources.

In 2005, ESPN/BASS changed it to - "Federation Nation".

West Toronto Bass-Masters Club is one of the founding chapters of the Ontario B.A.S.S. Federation, which on September 14th, 1995 had the honour of becoming the 1st Canadian and 50th Federation in the Bass Federation Nation, until political concerns forced us to leave.

In the fall of 2006, we went our own way.
